BJ Caretta, Senior Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Carretta brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to TerrAscend, focusing the past six years on some of the largest and most dynamic cannabis marketing segments.
Widely recognized as one of the foremost strategists in the industry and regarded for driving results, Mr. Carretta held top marketing positions at multi-state US operators Columbia Care, as well as was the original CMO at MedMen.
He has worked with a variety of other cannabis brands, organizations and technology companies as well through his consulting company. Before entering the cannabis industry, Mr. Carretta was vice president of digital brand marketing, media, and communications at Fender, the world’s leading guitar manufacturer.
He also spent eight years at NBC Sports Group, leading marketing and communications for the action sports division.
Mr. Carretta began his career at NBC Universal, aiding in launching the studio’s TV-to-DVD business. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and was also a member of the Division I men’s varsity basketball team.
